Time has gotten away from me but I needed to mention two really big pieces of news that happened Monday and Tuesday this past week. Two of my adult children have been laboring intensively to find employment. Since her scholarship and loan funds for NAU did not come through, Natalie has been working on alternative plans here at home for earning money to go toward future schooling. Monday, we received news that she was hired at Maryvale Prep as a TA, so she will soon be joining us for the morning drop off (although I will need to motivate everyone out the door about a half hour earlier than we have been going this year).
Xavier has spent hours and hours for months applying for jobs and getting absolutely no bites. Then Tuesday, within a week of having an interview, he was hired at Culvers!! He did his on-boarding on Saturday and will start Monday morning with his first shift. It sounds like it will be a great place to break into the workforce, with a kind boss and a respectful culture within the company.
I couldn’t help noting the timing – he got that call the day before his birthday. God sending a very welcome birthday gift? I’d say yes!
I could not be more thrilled for them both!
