Well, we made it! We survived another school year – capped it off on Friday with a half day, and then Paul grabbed the three youngest and skedaddled out of town (along with a host of fellow travelers) to spend a couple of days – really one day and two nights – up at the ranch. I was jealous of their escape from the heat, for sure! The four of them enjoyed nights around the campfire lighting sticks and toasting marshmallows, a hike up Bald Spot Mountain and a picnic in Jarvis Wash on Saturday, went to church in Concho on Sunday morning and then were back home by mid-afternoon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
