The first was Wednesday, when all the seniors in the Glendale Community College ACE (Achieving College Education) program were honored and recognized for their hard work and achievements over the past two years. Paul was not able to attend due to a conflict with church, but Laurent and I were there to cheer her on as she accepted her cord and certificate. Jordan came as well, as he was volunteering to help with the event. I especially enjoyed the talk by Latasha Causey, president of Phoenix International Raceway, who was herself and alumna of the ACE program. Such a great inspiration for the students! I loved how she talked about going on to work full time while attending college at ASU, and how rich she felt making $10\/hour working for Charles Schwab. Yes, those were the days!<\/p>\n\n\n\nngg_shortcode_0_placeholder\n\n\n\n<p>On Friday night, Paul had his turn in attending the Senior Awards Banquet. She came home laden with certificates, and complained about how she couldn&#8217;t get a break and kept having to go up and get more awards. Lol!
