When feeding a family of 10 plus 3 dogs, it is requisite at least once a month to do what my husband refers to as “an EPIC shop.” He is excellently well qualified to do this, because he buys things the kids like. Usually he goes at 6am on a Saturday right after payday. He always needs to make two trips through the store – one for large items like 50lb bags of dog food and mega-packs of toilet paper and paper plates, and the second for the rest of the groceries. I’m always amazed at the amount he can fit in a grocery cart… Here’s what he came home with (although the bulk items were I think inside the back seat of the cab):

Then it’s all hands on deck to get everything put away. That all happened while I was doing the first two drives of the morning – one across town for Ellie’s volleyball game – got her there promptly at 7:27am. Then I got Jordan and Natalie to their college classes right in the nick of time for the 9am class.
There were old waffles in the freezer that needed to be cleared out, so I thought I would make an attempt at a foodie pic with my phone.

I’m thinking about doing a macro food series… plotting what types of food, layouts, etc. Should be fun!
Paul is off picking Ellie up from her game. When he returns we will go for our SaturDate, and then it’s chores for the fam, and for me, chores for my Reading By The Fire channel – I have some sound cleanup to do on 2-3 videos. Look, I’m still learning, so it’s all part of the process. I’m halfway to my first goal of 100 videos, and I learn something new every time!
