A Whole New World

A Whole New World

When I say this week has been a blur of appointments, you have to take into account that this week included Labor Day, which had no appointments at all, and yet from Monday-Friday there were 18 non-school events that needed driving by one or both parents, and that often included driving to pick them up, then take them there, then take them back to school again…. Today alone there were 3 kids at the dentist at two different times, one to diagnostic imaging, two to sports practice, one to the eye doctor, and right in the middle I had a zoom class to try to squeeze in. My goodness. And tomorrow, Ellie has to be at a middle school volleyball game by 7:30am, while Nat and Jordan have to be at the college for classes by 9am. It’s nuts around here.

But this – THIS was the most fun of the day. I finally got Ruben over to the eye doctor (couldn’t earlier in the week because of all the other appointments!) so they could fit him with his new glasses. On the drive back to school, I handed him my phone and told him to take a selfie for me. He obliged. The last one was my official snap before he jumped out and went back to class. What a cutie-patootie. Oh, and he tells me everything looks SO MUCH CLEARER! That’s what I like to hear.
