Over the weekend, there was much ado about the long awaited Eleventh Birthday of Ellie! Ellie is finally Elevensies! On Saturday, she invited Ruben and one of her friends to join her for a few hours at Urban Air Adventure Park. Paul can attest that the kids all worked themselves into quite a lather on all of the attractions! Not long after they got home, Laurent arrived to take Ellie to get some French nails – tres chic! Still later, I got to drive her around to pick up her birthday money from the cash machine, and then to Ranch Market to pick out a birthday cake, and finally – Wingstop. What better way to spend birthday money?!
Sunday we had the whole family at Mass together. From there we picked up Ana and Noel and headed over to Grandma’s for the birthday celebration. Lunch was easy – Ellie wanted Raising Cane’s Chicken, and Grandma added a Jell-O salad and some tasty garlic cheese biscuits.
I managed to convince Ana to pose for a photo with Ellie and just look at these two beauties!!
It was a lovely afternoon, and a great kick-off to a week of Spring Break for the kids.
