And just like that, summer is finished, and we’re off to school again. Pictured are 6 of 7, grades 2, 5, 7, 7, 10, and 11. Not pictured, another grade 10. Praying for many blessings to be poured out upon this year, for academic growth and the graces of peace and tranquility of mind for all my beloveds.
A Prayer for Life
Father and maker of all,
you adorn all creation
with splendor and beauty,
and fashion human lives
in your image and likeness.
Awaken in every heart
reverence for the work of your hands,
and renew among your people
a readiness to nurture and sustain
your precious gift of life.
Grant this through our Lord
Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in
the unity of the Holy Spirit,
God forever and ever.
A Student’s Prayer
Loving Father,
thank you that you are my creator,
you know me better than anyone else.
Help me to use the mind you have given me
to learn and study effectively.
May I learn with humility and grace.
May I grow in wisdom as well as knowledge.
Let me live a life of integrity in everything I do.
May I grow in grace,
and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
To you be glory, both now and forever.

Calm My Mind Prayer
Merciful God,
thank you that I am never alone,
your presence calms the troubled sea of my life
and speaks peace to my soul.
When I am filled with anxiety
and uncertainty about my studies,
would you calm my fears
and fill my mind with your peace.
Give me assurance
that you are working everything
for my good and your glory.
May your love be the passion in my heart.
May your joy be my strength when times are hard.
May your presence be my peace that overflows.
In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, Amen.
