The absolute best part of taking the family to Sea Life Arizona today (Grandma’s Christmas present!!) was that I was well enough to go along! So excited not only to visit the aquarium, but just to get out of the house and be with everyone!
We left around 9:30 and happily journeyed across town to the Arizona Mills shopping center and, once parked, Paul drove me in my wheelchair and herded our hoard into the mall. It’s been years since I was there, but not a whole lot has changed. I was happy we were early and there weren’t too many other people yet, as I am sketchy with crowded situations.
The nice lady at the counter was happy to let us in a little early, which was great. Again, being there early was such a blessing. We were able to be leisurely, I wasn’t worried about losing anyone, and I didn’t feel like I was too much in the way with my chair.
I knew in advance that I would be dealing with some of the worst conditions for photography: poor lighting, water distortion, glass distortion, surface dirt on the glass, and moving subjects. However, I am pleasantly surprised at how many workable images I managed to get! My favorite was the jellyfish… as you will see, those turned out really well.
Many, many thanks to Grandma for the wonderful gift! We had such a good time together, and some great pics for the memory bank!
