End of Summer Ranch Getaway

End of Summer Ranch Getaway

With only a few days left before the new school year begins, Paul decided to zip up to the ranch with three of the younger kids to have some fun for a couple of days. (He also needed to put the door handle back on the cabin, if you recall from his previous trip.)

There has been quite a bit of rain up north, and one of the two roads in to the ranch was blocked by running water in the wash! They had to go around the other way to get in, and even that way, Paul very nearly got his truck stuck in a puddle that looked too enticing to avoid.

They took a hike to Purcell Well on Saturday that included a RIDICULOUS amount of mud. This would not have been nearly so egregious had not ALL THREE of my tontitos worn their brand new school shoes to the ranch. Can you hear my screams of frustration echoing across the land?

The upside is, they had a blast getting dirty, so that makes up for everything. Also helpful, Paul hosed them off and washed the muddy clothes when they got back to the cabin as best he could, so laundry wont be too bad.

Enjoy these pics from Paul’s Pixel6.
