Since the kids and Paul were off school and work today for MLK, I wanted to take everyone for a fun little excursion and also get some more portrait practice in an urban environment. We drove downtown to the neighborhood called Roosevelt Row, the Phoenix downtown art district.
We found an alley loaded with art, then moseyed over to the Trinity Episcopal Cathedral courtyard for a few more shots. When wrangling seven kiddos, you can’t take too long about your business before the whining and whinging begins about being tired/bored/hungry/thirsty/have-to-go-to-the-bathroom, so I tried to limit my sites and make the most of the locations we could get to.
After we finished photos, we decided to treat the kids (who, all in all, had been pretty darn cooperative, even the ones who did it grudgingly) to a Schlotzky’s lunch. Neither of us remembered how expensive that place is, and while it was SOOOOO good, it was SOOOOOOOOOOO much moola! Ufda. Well, that was a celebration!
