A Ruben Retrospective

A Ruben Retrospective

One year ago today, a beautiful baby boy named Ruben was born. His 5.5 weeks premature lungs were not ready for the world yet, and he remained in NICU for 3.5 agonizing weeks. We visited and held him and marveled at this sweet, tiny, precious soul, and finally we were able to take him home to his brothers and sisters. What a joyful day it was! Over the next few months we learned how to manage his pulse oximeter and oxygen lines both at home and on the road. Then a few months later we learned that Ruben had plagiocephaly and needed a DOC band. After 8 weeks his therapy was complete and he no longer needed the band. There was much rejoicing! Our little man has brought so much joy to his family, as you can see in this gallery of 217 photos. (I’m not at all obsessed or anything…)

Happy, Happy Birthday, dear #BabyRuben!! We love you forever. <3
