Closing out this week brought the end of the summer term for Jordan and Natalie’s college courses, so we have just about three weeks left to enjoy summer before school starts back up again in August. I somehow missed an update at the end of June, another good time with Grandma on a Sunday afternoon…
And Friday evening around sunset, the girls met up with Laurent, Nyx and Rupert for a little fun at the dog park. Duke and Daisy are not as well socialized as they ought to be, though, so after a brief altercation with some other dogs, they had to stay on leash for the duration. I sent the camera with Natalie so she could remind herself of how to use it. She’s a little out of practice and there were lots of blurry pix, but these give the general feel of their time. I’ll have to have her do a bit more practicing before school starts up if she’s going to get back into taking sports photos again this year.
I finally decided to see if I could get a little something for some of my old camera gear, so I went through the MPB website and got an estimate. I found two old cameras and six lenses to sell, and am satisfied I wouldn’t be able to do much better on my own, so with a little help from Natalie, I got them all boxed up and fed-exed back east. I expect I’ll find out next week some time what the final numbers are. It’s good to clear out my stash a little. Now maybe I will have a start on saving for either a used wide angle or macro lens!
